We have been in a season of transition and waiting upon the Lord. And now we are truly beginning to see the fruit and reasons of why we are back stateside. Over the past year God has been strengthening existing relationships and forming new ones, as well as fortifying our foundation, faith and call in the Lord. Now as a result of this amazing season of waiting upon the Lord, something new has been birthed within our hearts.
I have often dreamed of taking a nation for God and now the nation in which God is calling us to is clear-Cambodia. As I laid my head to rest one night and I asked the Father ‘What is the next place that we’ll go?’ I heard within my spirit ‘Cambodia’. Without informing my wife, I asked what nation she had upon her heart, her reply was Cambodia. As we have begun to share that vision, God is impregnating our home church with a vision and heart for Cambodia as well!
In the 2nd week of November 2011, I, along with Pastors Butch & Susan LaBauve, and other River church leaders planned a mission trip to S.E. Asia for two weeks. We visited Steven Nicaud in Singapore and travel to Malaysia and then to Cambodia to scout out the land.
Our intention was to encourage the body of Christ while there and see the needs. During this time God gave us a plan and a strategy to begin a church plant as well as a Bible school in Cambodia. We secured a home in Phnom Penh as a result.
Our goal is to move to Cambodia in May of 2012 after our child is born. Our vision is to start a church and Bible school to raise up Cambodian disciples to plant churches all over the nation.
However, we can’t do this alone. We are currently in need of prayers and financial ongoing support for our future on the field. Please prayerfully consider this.
